Text you submit: When you paste text into GistPop, it is sent to an AI service (such as OpenAI) to generate summaries or explanations. We do not store this text on our own servers.
Saved chats: If you choose to save a result, it is stored locally on your device. This data does not leave your device unless you share it.
Subscription information: All purchases are handled by Apple through StoreKit. We do not collect or store your payment information.
Usage data: We store basic usage information (such as how many summaries you have used per day) locally on your device to enforce free tier limits.

2. How We Use Your Information

To generate summaries, explanations, and quiz content using AI
To manage subscriptions through Apple
To enforce usage limits for free users
To improve the app and fix issues

3. Third-Party Services

AI Providers (e.g., OpenAI): Your text is sent to an AI service to generate results. Their use of data is governed by their own privacy policies.
Apple StoreKit: Apple handles all subscriptions and payments. We do not have access to your payment details.

4. Data Storage

We do not store your personal text or content on our servers. Any saved data stays on your device. Text sent to AI services is transmitted securely.

5. Children's Privacy

GistPop is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

6. Your Control

You can delete all saved data by deleting the app or clearing your data on your device.

We may update this policy. Changes will be shown by updating the date above.
